THE CCA CAMPAIGN

 

CCA is licensed on an exclusive basis in a specific market to a radio station, TV station, cable, newspaper or supermarket. The license includes all media ownership in that market. If you are in the United States or Canada CCA has more than likely been conducted for your community at one-time or another over the past 6 decades.

 

MEDIA AS LICENSEE

 

CCA organizes the licensed market into a consolidated buying force to purchase exclusively the products and services of participating CCA advertisers. These advertisers access a substantial and identifiable portion of the households in the licensed market.  For this privilege of an exclusive advertiser category participation, the advertiser purchases a customized media flight on the media licensee. All advertiser media buys are documented new business for the media. Over a thirteen week period, the public shops the participating advertisers’ products and services and save what they normally throw away --- the Proof-of-Purchase. These purchases result in CCA Cash Awards which are distributed to local non-profit clubs and organizations in the licensed market.

 

 

 

SUPERMARKET AS LICENSEE

 

The CCA Campaign is conducted in the same manner as with a licensed media, except the CCA Campaign is 17 weeks in duration. Instead of advertisers, the supermarket sells the program to its vendors and in-store lessees. As almost every vendor will have participated in CCA at one-time or another, a supermarket will make a profit in CCA before a single customer walks through the door. There is no media to buy. CCA will also be utilized to promote house brands, specific store departments, and to shape consumer conduct in a manner consistent with current marketing objectives of the supermarket, i.e. shop during specified off-peak hours, apply for a store card, reusable shopping bags, etc. And unlike advertising, mailings and couponing, there can be no answer for your competition.
