Daniel Akers was named warden at Marion Adjustment Center in March 2010. Previously, Akers served as assistant warden at CCA's Marion Adjustment Center. Prior to that, he was chief of security at Lee Adjustment Center. Akers began his career with CCA in 1998 as quality assurance manager at Otter Creek Correctional Center, where he also served as administrative assistant, shift supervisor, SORT commander, unit manager and security threat group coordinator. Before Otter Creek was CCA-owned, Akers worked there as a correctional officer, sergeant, assistant shift supervisor, lieutenant, quality assurance manager and administrative assistant.
