Warden: Raymond Byrd
Raymond Byrd was named Warden of Wilkinson County Correctional Facility in 2012. Prior he had served as Warden at Dawson State Jail since November 2008. He previously served as warden at Delta Correctional Facility and as assistant warden at CCA's Dawson State Jail. Byrd began his correctional career in 1984 with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a correctional officer. He worked at several facilities as he promoted to the rank of major. In 1999 he was hired by CCA as an assistant warden at the Winn Correctional facility in Winnfield, LA. Byrd also worked at the Correctional Treatment Facility in Washington, D.C. before returning to Texas at the Bartlett State Jail. In December of 2003, he joined the team at the Dawson State Jail in Dallas, Texas.
