CCA Honors US Troops With Patriot Packages
Patriot Packages target Active-Duty employees and employee relatives
CCA, America's leader in partnership corrections, is showing its appreciation for employees and employee relatives on active duty through its "Patriot Packages" campaign. At each of the company's more than 60 facilities nationwide, employees are contributing items to individual care packages for servicepersons on deployments far from home.
"Each of our facilities has at least one or in some cases several employees or employee relatives on active duty who will appreciate receiving a care package from friends and loved ones," said Brian Collins, CCA executive vice president and chief human resources officer. "Our goal is to have the packages arrive in advance of Veterans Day, Friday November 11, which will add even more meaning and remind our brave men and women they are in our hearts."
CCA established its Patriot Packages program for employee services members in 2010, with two collection months during the year. This year the program expanded to include employees' active-duty relatives, effectively allowing staff at every CCA facility the opportunity to support deployed U.S. troops.
"We want to thank not only our employees, but relatives of employees who put their lives in harms way to protect our freedom," said Damon Hininger, CCA president and chief executive officer. "This Veterans Day, and every day, we want them to know how much they mean to us."
A typical Patriot Package may contain letters, cards, snack items, toiletries, games and other supplies. Packages are mailed in November, so they arrive just in time for Veterans Day.
Veterans account for approximately 10 percent of CCA's national employee base of approximately 17 thousand, and the company has been named numerous times to G.I. Jobs magazine's annual list of the "Top 100 Military-Friendly Employers"® in America.
CCA is the nation’s largest provider of partnership corrections to federal, state and local government, operating more than 60 facilities, including more than 40 company-owned facilities, with approximately 90,000 beds, in 20 states and the District of Columbia. In addition to providing the residential services for inmates, CCA facilities offer rehabilitation and educational programs, including education, vocation, religious services, life skills and employment training and substance abuse treatment. CCA Idaho Correctional Center's Sgt. Dagoberto Martinez and Sgt. Anthony Noto donate items to Patriot Packages that will be sent to the facility's Active-Duty employees and employee relatives.
